What We Offer
Substance

The law is not a stagnant set of rules, but an ever-evolving body of principles that are applied differently to different situations. And the people who make decisions that affect your legal rights - judges and juries - bring with them views that have been formed by experiences in everyday life about everyday matters.

Being an effective advocate requires a combination of intelligence, thorough preparation, competitive spirit, and healthy appreciation of the human condition.

As reflected in individual attorney biographies, our lawyers have earned the respect of their peers and enjoy distinguished reputations in the community. But we have traveled different paths to excellence. We include former prosecutors, public defenders, and many who were trained at some of the nation’s largest law firms. In our younger days we waited tables, tended bar, worked on assembly lines, lifeguarded, and sold insurance. Among us are graduates of the most prestigious colleges and law schools in the country and others from places of lesser renown. Our diverse perspectives and extensive experience as advocates allow us to work effectively with clients to shape strategies and positions that make sense to real people in the real world.

We will apply our collective talents, experiences, and achievements to find practical solutions to your problems.

Labor & Lactation: Employer Requirements for Nursing Mothers

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has said, “Women will only have true equality when men share with them the responsibility of bringing up the next generation.” As involved as a father may be in childrearing, men will never face the logistical dilemmas of breastfeeding working mothers. Federal and some state laws impose requirements on employers to provide breaks and a space for nursing mothers to express milk. These measures that attempt to level the playing field for women benefit employers by allowing them to retain high quality employees who are also mothers. However, our current political landscape may alter the requirements that currently exist.... Read More

It’s Time to Think About Discovery

Since the 2015 amendments to Rules 26 and 34, numerous cases provided guidance that parties should be familiar with in order to: (i) understand the impact the amendments to Rule 26 have on the scope of discovery; and (ii) ensure they are complying with amended Rule 34.
